My work explores the relationship between place and perception through the mediums of landscape and cityscape oil painting. Whether I am depicting the quiet expanse of natural terrain or the dynamic geometry of urban space, I am drawn to the ways light, atmosphere, and human presence shape our emotional understanding of an environment.
In my landscapes, I seek to capture moments of stillness scenes where light settles softly across landforms and time seems to slow. These paintings are less about documenting a specific location and more about expressing a sensory memory: the weight of air, the tension between horizon and sky, and the subtle transitions that occur throughout the day.
My cityscapes, by contrast, focus on the rhythm and complexity of built environments. I’m fascinated by how architecture, movement, and shadows interact to create visual narratives within everyday spaces. Through layered brushwork and shifting perspectives, I aim to reveal the coexistence of energy and solitude that defines urban life.
Across both subjects, oil paint allows me to build depth, texture, and color harmony that evoke the emotional resonance of a place. My intention is not to recreate reality but to interpret it inviting viewers to experience familiar surroundings with renewed curiosity and reflection.
